WFMW: Little Girls Hair Hints, Part I

As the proud mommy to 3 gorgeous girls (nope, not at all biased), I have had the opportunity to do some little girls hair. Lots and lots of hair. Which is really funny actually because growing up, hair was so not my thing. I had no sisters and neither did my Mom so while we both have the ability to comb and brush and create very nice, presentable hair, neither she nor I were well versed in french braids, loads of curls, or anything really fancy smancy. As a matter of fact, as a teenager, I have some really fond memories of going over to my girlfriend Catherine's house very early before many a big FFA activity so she could french braid it for me. Now I did eventually learn to do french braids....on my horses tails. :)

So time passes and the Lord blesses me with three girls, the first of which has the tenderest head known to mankind. Those strange wail-like sounds you have heard but not known what they were, yeah, they were P1 getting her hair combed. Until Jamisa taught me about..................THE product.
That would be none other than the 10.5 oz Awesome Apple Kids Detangling Spray by Suave. This stuff rocks. It smells good and as opposed to the product we used on my hair as a kid (which is still available, mind you) which makes P1's hair feel all sticky, the Suave makes P1's hair smooth as silk. Best and most important of all however, it makes combing about 10 times easier. Seriously. So I spray the heck out of her hair, divide it into sections to brush, use a non-grabbing hairbrush, designed with tender heads in mind and viola! Loads less wailing. This definitely works for me!

Now, I also have some other cool things I have picked up along the way and I will cover them in next weeks WFMW post so make sure you come back for WFMW: Little Girls Hair Hints, Part II.

We love, love, love this stuff as well. Our princess has the finest hair, and it does very well on the morning rat's nest.

Oooooh!! I need to try this on Courtney's hair. She uses "the other product" right now (that I used when I was a kid in the '70's.)

I love the new look to your blog!!!

Happy 1 Year Referral Anniversary (well last week!!)
